Faber és a posztmodern regény

Mi a posztmodern? Hogyan mutatkozik meg az irodalomban? Ezekbe a kérdésekbe fogok bevezetést nyújtani, amihez Michel Faber 2002-es könyvét fogom felhasználni: A bíbor szirom és a fehér című regényt, mely a viktoriánus London feltörekvő prostituáltjának és egy gazdag gyártulajdonosnak a története. Ezen a szövegen keresztül fogom bemutatni a posztmodern irodalom jellegzetességeit, valamint beszélni fogok a korszak meghatározó gondolkodóiról, történelemszemléletről, és ezek irodalmi vonatkozásairól. Legvégül pedig kulturális kitekintésként a posztmodern művészet jellegzetességeiből mutatok majd be alkotásokat.
